Thank you for your visit!
I’m Tamara (sounds like camera): A simple girl. A daughter, sister, friend. A wife and mom, a caretaker, career teacher & now lifetime homeschool mom and Home Executive Resident {H.E.R.}©. I am a photographer, a dreamer, a lover of the Lord (and coffee too). A thinker. An everything beach-lover! Oh, the journey the Lord has taken {is taking}me on to teach me different. Through HIS grace, His Word, His truths, His love, some trials & a lot of just pure goodness, the Lord has shown me how to live for Him. He has forgiven me & He has changed me to be more like Jesus.
I am the designer/writer, but not creator, of The Girl in the Middle, and I am so glad we’ve met. I welcome your company gratefully, no different than if you were at my front door, well-except for the greeting from our labradoodle who likes hugs and thinks he’s 5 pounds instead of 75 and, depending on the day, you may have to get past the mess on the way to a hot cup of coffee. We will talk about life: its ugly realities and its incredible blessings. We will clear the path to Christ by looking at His Word and at our own hearts. We will laugh, cry, reach far, choose repentance, find forgiveness and dig deep to hold onto that which is good. We will renew our minds and learn more and more to have the mind of Christ as we encounter all things. We will come together as Christian women to live faithfully because the world is hard, but God is good. We will renew our minds and learn more and more to learn and have the mind of Christ as we encounter all things.
Goodness, I think it was nearly 25 years ago I remember telling my mom how I’m taking heart-notes of life happenings to those around me, close and in the distance. I have a tendency to jump in someone else’s shoes and walk a few miles instead of letting their hardships and joys leave me untouched. This has proven to be a challenge as I would have to learn (again and again) to balance so many precious people’s needs with prayer (public and private) with the practicality of being present. (Whew, that’s a lot of “p’s!” ) But it’s changed me and, because God doesn’t waste our heart’s investments as we yield to Him, it’s made me bit by bit more like Christ and the more like My Savior I become, by His grace, the more I see I need Him: for such a sinner am I.
Basically, those 25 years of being changed by God’s grace and love is why I’m here.
The creator of this blog, A Girl in the Middle, is really the Lord in my life.
HE is personal, HE is faithful & HE is beautiful .
Together we can share life in this same personal, faithful, beautiful way.
Together we can be women living faithfully, imperfectly.
…because the world is hard, but God is so good.
And THAT is the reason I am so glad you are here.
Please contact me with anything on your heart; I’m always glad to listen and offer encouragement when I can.
“Of one thing I am perfectly sure; God’s story never ends with ‘ashes.”
