Big M
January 10, 2016
THERE^ he is. I met him nearly 22 years ago, but I fell in love with him way before then. Mr. T and I prayed for a son for
several years before the Lord gave us Big M. A long time friend dubbed him “Big M” when he was just a little guy (ok, little may be a bit far-fetched). Only God knew how well this nickname would fit him for years ahead. He is big in so many ways. For instance, there really is a seat underneath and behind him in the photo above. His feet slide neatly into a size 17 shoe, and his hands normally completely engulf the like of the other mens’ as they say hello. His heart though! It’s his heart which makes the “Big M” impact in life. Strangers remember him after just one meeting and friends know his loyalty. Bosses count on and trust his character. Coaches admire his leadership. I couldn’t be more proud of him and I love all these things, and so much more. Mostly, I love his love and I love to love him. It is enough for this mom, and I bet you feel the same of your own. No day of thankfulness could be complete without this guy near the top of the list. I thank the Lord for him; I am so incredibly blessed to have him.
I Samuel 1:27 -28
I prayed for this boy, and since the Lord gave me what I asked Him for,
I now give him to the Lord. For as long as he lives, he is given to the Lord.
