{The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing }
by Marie Kondo
It’s fair to say over the past 30 years of life (starting a home, teaching/organizing classrooms , selling/moving to a new home etc), I’ve done my fair share of fleeting organizing. It’s been said I can lean toward OCD in this way, but I think it’s more accurate to say I just like things neat.
I’d read about The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up about the same time I learned of a capsule wardrobe concept. Life had kept me busy for the past, oh, 14 years or so, and to say this change was needed in my house, my life, my HEART, could not be over exaggerated.
When I saw the book in Costco my husband insisted on buying it, and so we did. I read much of it and couldn’t wait to get started. Not long after, every piece of clothing I owned (minus what I was wearing) was out of it’s hiding place and in the middle of my bedroom. OH GOODNESS! I hope this one works; it’s not looking good from here!
To be continued.
Don’t miss what’s next!
