There was impending death as enemies from all sides were crashing down hard and fast on Moses and the Israelites. God does something impossible, and saves them in a way that would be unexplainable by anything less than divine intervention.
God Does Something Impossible
Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea. The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
Ephesians 15:1-2
Complaining
God had just led the Israelites by way of Moses across the Red Sea through stilled walls of ocean water and on dry ground. In quick succession their celebration turned to desperation. After walking for three days through the dessert they still had found no water; just as they spotted water they learn it was undrinkable.
Their complaints to Moses were in no uncertain terms: we’re thirsty, what are we going to drink? Surely they’d remembered how miraculously God had just saved them.
Or not?
How Easily I Forget
I’ll bet their complaining was no different than is my own. When I complain to the Lord, I’m not busy remembering who He is in my life or what He’s done faithfully for me. Instead, I’m focussed inward and have no issue crying out from my own discomfort. How easily I, too, forget what God has done for me. How about you?
Hot and Thirsty
I live in southwest Florida. Along most of our beautifully landscaped streets, water regularly shoots up through sprinklers, and nearby there is always a sign, “un-potable water, do not drink.” Let me assure you, it gets hot here. Really hot. And summers are long.
You can be sure those drenched in sweat and weakened from the hot summer sun look twice as they walk by at the sprays of fresh water longing to quench their thirst. Yet, no matter how much it’s needed or desired, the water is not suitable for human consumption.
The Israelites were hot and thirsty too. Much like a mirage of water in the dessert, the water at Marah would turn out to be nothing more than hope imagined.
Met with Grace and Mercy
Instead of being chastised by the Lord for complaining, God again gives them a miracle and meets their most pressing physical need. But that’s not all; He also gives His people a reminder. In doing so we see a picture of God’s grace and mercy.
Then Moses led Israel from the Red Sea and they went into the Desert of Shur. For three days they traveled in the desert without finding water. When they came to Marah, they could not drink its water because it was bitter. (That is why the place is called Marah. So the people grumbled against Moses, saying, “What are we to drink?”
Then Moses cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became fit to drink. There the Lord issued a ruling and instruction for them and put them to the test.
He said, “If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.”
Exodus 15:22-26
Healing
The Israelites weren’t just thirsty; they needed water. They were physically in perpetual motion, walking for hours a day, and their bodies were slowing down.
I can imagine the frustration of Moses’ group; for three days they wanted-needed- a drink, but they found none. Hope must have exploded in them as their eyes locked on that river. But no sooner than they caught a glimpse of the beauty of fresh water they learned it was un-potable.
The medical professionals tell us on average a person can live without water for three days. Imagine that. By giving the Israelites the water their bodies needed, God provided physical healing.
Spiritual Healing
But beyond that, by continuing to show Himself Faithful God, through Moses, God is healing them spiritually. Moses obeys the Lord by throwing the wood into the water, and God heals the Israelites physically and spiritually. Jehovah Rapha; the God who Heals.
Jehovah Rapha, The God who Heals
Aren’t you thankful we serve the same God Moses did? He is the same God who never changes, and He is the same God who still heals.
We Still Need His Healing
We still need His healing. Maybe now more than ever.
Our Nation
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14
Ourselves
Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.
Jeremiah 7:14
Our bodies
Let all that I am praise the LORD; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.
Psalm 103:1-3
Our hearts
He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
Psalm 147:3
Our souls
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Isaiah 53:5
Jehovah Rapha, Our God Who Heals
As You were for Moses and the Israelites, so are you for us today: Jehovah Rapha, our God who Heals.
Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.
Psalm 31:5
Whoever is blessed in the land will be blessed by the God of truth, and whoever swears in the land will swear by the God of truth. The former troubles will be forgotten and hidden from My sight.
Isaiah 65:16
Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:5-6
The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
John 1:14 & 17
We know that we are of God, and the whole world is under the sway of the evil one. And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know the true One. We are in the true One-that is, in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
I John 5:19-20
Truth
Somethings are cut and dry. This, the God of Truth, should be one of those topics. I wish I could just note these verses out of scripture and bid a kind adieu here, but we’re way too involved in the world to simply walk away without shining the light on this truth.
So Far From the Truth
I can recall several times when I have sided with the world unknowingly. Times when I was ignorant of how God’s Word spoke to the ideal I had in my own heart that stood contrary to what God has to say. Ideas I allowed the world at large, at ordinary, to form as truth but where I was so far from the truth of God.
With that intention, to shine a light on God as truth-because He is truth, I will continue here.
This isn’t for the ones who don’t want to know what God’s word really says. It’s not for the ones who choose to turn away from God’s absolute truth with their own stamp of approval. This isn’t for the ones giving themselves permission to place their own ideas about something or someone to be more important -more applicable-more urgent-than the One True God.
Not Here to Change Your Mind
I’m not here to change your mind. I am not a mediator between anyone and God. I am here to praise the God of truth, El Emeth. It is self-proclaiming at His very name; He stands in opposition to the world we live in. We simply cannot stand in unity with the world and stand with the one true God.
Unfortunately, according to Barna (https://www.barna.com/research/changing-state-of-the-church/) the the majority of America — not withstanding some who call themselves Christians-have denied their faith in and of absolute truth.
Instead of standing strong unashamedly and unwaveringly for the One who died for us, we secretly wiggle uncomfortably in our skin. In one breath we publically name Christ and in another those around us see us reaching for and proclaiming society’s truths.
Straddle the Fence
Therefore, we’re left to straddle the fence trying to keep one foot in the world and the other following the Lord. It doesn’t work. In fact, it will never work.
The Applause of Man
Though we draw the applause of man, we end up separating ourselves from the very truths of the God who saved us, taking others with us. Sisters, take note: there’s no fence straddling for the one who chooses Christ.
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not from the Father but from the world. The world is passing away, along with its desires; but whoever does the will of God remains forever.
I John 2:15-17
Stand With God
It’s a precarious place we’re in, to be kind, to recognize what our world says is right according to its laws and norms, but to also know where those things do not align with what God says is right… AND stand with God.
No Wonder People Don’t Like Christians
For decades, in my own lifetime, there has been a willing and intentional smearing of lines where it comes to God’s Word. We wouldn’t want to offend someone…the lies unapologetically play on loop, they’re verbiage changes, but their message of ungodly condemnation stay the same: WWJD, God loves everyone, that’s not loving, who are we to judge, no wonder people don’t like Christians…
Lies
The key here is to know God’s Word, and to walk with Him. It’s a lie to think God’s grace comes apart from His truth. For the Believer, there is no grace in the absence of truth.
The very reason we are Believers is because of Grace. Grace came to us following personal acknowledgment of our own sin.
Think about the very essence of grace. It is not the absence of sin whereby grace is necessary. No, it is because of our sin we need the very help of which we are so undeserving; enter God’s grace.
Charis
To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
Ephesians 1:6-7
When it comes to the New Testament, the word used often for grace is χάρις.
To ignore sin and “offer grace” is a dangerous, albeit socially approved ,practice, and it is far from a picture of God’s grace. Let’s slow down a bit to be sure there is no misunderstanding.
We can, and should, replace the lie that we choose to withhold grace when we stand for truth, God’s truth, in a place where sin is residing fully comfortable. We don’t need to fight. The battle is the Lord’s. But know this: truth may not sound loving though it comes from a place of the truest love.
Speak Truth in Love
It’s never been more important to speak truth. I encourage you to speak God’s truth in love. We can not remain complacent where God has clearly spoken. To ignore the sin and ‘offer grace’ (as esteemed by the world) is a great spiritual fallacy.
It’s loving to address sin in love, Believer to Believer. It’s loving to hold co-Christ-followers accountable to our Father’s Word. It’s loving to share the Gospel with those who live a worldly life separated from Him. It’s loving to love even when looks unloving.
Fact is, the prerequisite for grace is sin. Where grace is needed, there is a place for underserved kindness. Be loving. Be kind.
Met with Grace
God met our sin, God meets our sin, with His grace because He loves us. We chose sin, we choose sin, but God allows us to turn away from our sin and toward Him. There He meets us through grace in His son, Jesus Christ.
The One True God, El Emeth
Because He is the One True God, El Emeth, He can’t be anything but truth. He stands starkly against and in enmity with sin, and with the world.
Prioritizing the Lord
Sisters, we need to be careful. Prioritizing our relationship with the Lord before anything and anyone else should be our desire. We have to be in His Word and walking in communion with His Holy Spirit (meaning walking with Him with no known sin in our lives that would separate us from Him, and our prayers from being heard); it is most necessary.
If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:
Psalm 66:18
Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him.
John 9:31
Start with our Heart.
When it comes to living out God in our lives and bringing Him glory through our actions, words and service, it has to start with our heart. Growth is fostered in our private relationship with the Lord when we spend time together: just we two.
Of course, the outpour of a personal growing relationship with the Lord manifests itself in every other relationship you have.
And I can assure you, you’re never going to be a “better Christian” outside of the walls of your own home than you are known to be inside of them.
JOY: Jesus, Others, Yourself
So many times I’ve heard the question from women who want to be better wives, moms, friends etc and their desire is rooted in the acronym JOY: Jesus, others, yourself. They earnestly believe that if they line up their days and lives on a checklist of this order they’re going to become better Christians-or at least Christians in the right order of life.
But, that’s just not how it works.
When we purpose to seek God in our lives first and foremost, and to follow Him right there out of loving obedience, everything else is exactly where the Lord wants it to be in our lives.
Everything.
There will be often be times when the order of JOY is not the order of Jesus in your life, but keeping the personal priority of allegiance to the Lord in all things, is always right.
God First
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Isaiah 5:20
El Emeth, God of Truth. We know this world is running amuck because the evil one and his helpers are quite busy. We can stand in agreement with them in this way, knowing they’re fighting a losing battle. God isn’t sidelined in the wickedness our country, our world, is wrapping around itself.
Not of This World
However, we are not of this world. Christ followers have no place, none, in standing with the world. To do so is to stand against God.
My encouragement and my challenge to you is to spend more time with the Lord: learning, repenting, seeking, following, obeying, loving Him-the source of our undeserved Grace. Furthermore, live it out unashamedly. When it feels uncomfortable to stand with El Emeth~God of Truth, do it anyway. Come what may. And teach your children to do the same.
No Darkness in the Lord
Remember the song, This Little Light of Mine? There is no darkness in the Lord, there is no darkness in real truth, there is no way to be with the Lord and without Him. He is the way, the truth and the life.
More Jesus
More Jesus! We need Him and the world around us needs Him. Let’s live for what we know is true when the lies swarm all around: we are the light of the world and the world needs to know El Emeth, the God of Truth!
You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
I’m late with this particular name of God, or so I am according to all personal and planned outlines But it’s perfectly time by my God who is always on time and in the details of my life. He’s the same for you: on time and in the details. What God does here is incredible. You’ll understand before the end of this post.
El Nehkumah
I don’t recall hearing this name of God before a couple of weeks ago. It’s possible I have and just don’t recall, but it’s exactly what God wants me to know right now, and since you’re here with me, He wants you to know it, too.
El, my God, Nehkumah, all comfort. God of all comfort.
One of my first years of teaching I wanted to play “Red Light, Green Light” with my classroom of kindergartners. So, with the entire group of five year old children looking up at me, I explained the rules to them fully expecting they understood.
Then I formed two lines and instructed each group to wait until I got to the other end to call Red Light or Green Light. They could run toward me on GREEN or stop in their tracks on RED.
One last time I reminded them to listen to my instructions and follow the pattern for red and green lights as called. Now, all children were finally in place, and I was at the far end of the playground. Hands up in the air and I call it, “RED LIGHT!”
Uncontrollable laughing overtook me as the stampede of every single child stormed my direction. Affirming my rookie status in the classroom, I couldn’t believe my students, without exception, were in the wrong lane.
That was a fun time, but we had to revisit the instructions for understanding. People are people whether little or big, young or old, aren’t they?
Line up
Sometimes I reallyam a slow learner, but I’m willing to bet I could line up most every honest human being into one line given the choice of two:
Loves to be uncomfortable
Loves to be comfortable.
I’m thinking the first choice would be largely vacant. We don’t like to be uncomfortable. In fact, we try to be comfortable in most every way.
Uncomfortable
We avoid emotions of sadness, we avoid many emotions if we feel as if they’re telling too much of what we intend to be kept private shielded by the masks we regularly wear for whatever reasons we have.
When it’s hot out, we seek shade, air-conditioning, shelter or a cooling body of water. Conversely, cozy layers, hand-warmers, fire pits, fireplaces, a warm body and anything else that will spark some heat is a hot (ha!) commodity as the temps dip.
The same trajectory of every other discomfort follows suit as we do what we need to flee its inconvenience. We are people who hate to be uncomfortable at most any cost. Sometimes we can convince ourselves the pain is worth whatever advantage we’re aiming for, such as in exercise or pregnancy, but almost always when we are uncomfortable we strive to find our way back to the ease of comfort.
Seeking Comfort
Seeking comfort. It causes all sorts of problems in our lives. I’ve talked about this before, and like you, I’ve lived it out.
When we find ourselves in the trenches of life, whether we’re there by self inflicted consequences or by no choice of our own, almost every way we convince ourselves to seek comfort is futile at best, and downright dangerous at its worst.
Addictions and unhealthy habits are born from comfort seeking vices: shopping, eating, drug abuse, self harm, pain numbing alcohol use…and more. Self destructing! That is how much we hate being uncomfortable.
There is a better way; there really is a path for those desiring all comfort. It’s with the Lord of all comfort. Let me introduce to you, El Nehkumah.
Finding Comfort
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort.
2 Corinthians 1:3
All Comfort
ALL comfort. God not only offers His children comfort. He offers us all comfort.
Friends, if I was standing before you talking to your group, or sitting beside you having a private conversation, I would implore your attention to this next thought. Our God isn’t sitting in heaven with His hands folded waiting to send Jesus back to get His own.
Of course, He IS going to do just that, but in the mean time He is not sitting as a spectator to your life. He is as alive today as He has always been. Sisters, God is alive. He is in every detail of our lives. His Word is alive and well:
For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.
Hebrews 4:12
Every Detail of your Life
And He is in every detail of your life. Watch for Him. Look for Him. Run to Him. Trust Him, and find ALL COMFORT in Him.
I told you as I started this, and I’ll post a photo of my schedule here (blurry, I know, but El Nehkumah is there to be published on the 14th, which means I would be praying over and studying it on the day prior. Though it seems like I’m late to the game just writing this days later, it was meant for me this very minute; I need God’s comfort today. Last week, on the 13th, my dad died.
God is alive and involved in every detail of my life, and of your life, too.
Temporary Comfort is Temporary
What are you chasing after? What are you exchanging in effort to be comfortable in your own life? Temporary comfort is just that, temporary. And it’s costly. Choose El Nehkumah; choose all comfort.
Turn to the Lord, trust Him with every detail in your life. He still is in the business of comforting you: ALL comforting. Nothing slips by, nothing missed, nothing left without His comfort: all comfort.
El Nehkumah, the God of all comfort. I praise You.
Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.
Psalm 33:18-22
What comes to your mind when you think of a shield? Can you picture yourself in situations or circumstances where you would happily employ the advantages a shield offers?
Shield
armed, buckler, defense, ruler, scale, shield…as defense of His servants
I have boys. I grew up with boys-five brothers. I could have used a shield more often than not, honestly. But, as my Mom told the ICU nurse one time, I’ve developed thick skin. It’s true. I did. Growing up with the rough and tough had its effects over me, and In a lot of ways I’d rather all the snails and puppy dog tails over sugar and spice and everything nice. Frilly lace dresses don’t bode well in the battleground of survival of the fittest.
Like most desparate children, I learned quickly to improvise in the heat of the battle. Among many other things, I used pillows, pots and pans, corners and tables, and any unsuspecting body nearby I could as a shield, quickly and strategically placed between me and the enemy at hand. Most of the time it was a fair, at best, attempt toward safety but not because lack of earnest quest. I was just a little girl in the field of giants.
Indeed, thick skin ensued through the flesh and blood battles. Over the years, I learned how to better protect myself where danger loomed.
Prepared
Like any good solider, I was trained to recognize where danger loomed. When ordinary circumstances were starting to become a bit unsettled, I knew when it was time to retreat and when it was time to protect myself. I no longer walked into situations quite as naively…or empty handed without being prepared for battle. But it was the least of the battles my life would have to face.
The Least of the Battles
My flesh and blood may have had battles to fight, win and lose. Some more painful than the others, and as I’ve come to realize, they were the least of the battles to come. It was, it is, the battles in my own mind that would prove to be the biggest fights in my life. I wonder, can a shield protect what is otherwise invisible?
Invisible
When I climb into the driver’s seat, unless it’s raining or snowing (or love-bug season: hey Floridians!), I never see evidence of any looming danger in the air. Even so, I am safely placed behind my windshield. In a few decades of driving, I’ve only had to replace a windshield crack a handful of times, but had it not been there, the surprise attack could have caused great harm to myself or anyone else in my car.
Not to mention the huge white crane that flew into my windshield not long ago! It seems, after all, a shield does protect me from what is otherwise invisible.
It isn’t so uncommon anymore to see someone out and about donning a clear face shield with the hopes of staving off a minuscule virus from breaking through.
The Strength of the Mind
In my mind are the hardest battles to fight. They’re the ones that need a shield the most. A shield to protect, to deflect, to hide behind, to charge confidently forward clasped in hand…
Thoughts that waken me and keep me from sleep. Thoughts that upend my God-fearing, obedient heart. Thoughts that roar against all I believe, that lie and try to adulterate my faith. The strength of my mind wars greater heights than my flesh and blood have ever known.
Shield of Faith
Ah, just like our loving Heavenly Father, He has prepared His Word for His children in just this way. Faith, the evidence of things NOT SEEN. Those private thoughts that try to wreck us? God sees them, and He has given us just the equipment we need for those battles.
First, it’s important to remember exactly what faith is:
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1
We cannot actually see the evidences, the manifestation, of our faith, it’s invisible outside of our hope in Christ who makes it so. What an incredible answer to the battlefield in our minds, the one we can’t see and no-one around us knows is there unless and until we share it with them. Even so, they may not believe or understand the depth of the effects we fight in our minds, but God does. Right where the war is most ravenous, the hope of our faith has already won.
Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.
Psalm 33:20
Exciting, then, to then revisit the passage most of us know regarding the armor of the Lord.
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
Ephesians 6:16
ALL those fiery darts coming at you in your own thoughts are an attempt from the enemy to harm you. That’s what fiery darts do: harm, hurt, scare. They’re not from the Lord.
We know that we are of God, and the whole world is under the sway of the evil one.
I John 5:19
It’s really important to understand these mind games playing are not given to us from the Lord, they should be recognized as what they are: uninvited and untrue. God desires us to tactfully and concertedly renew our mind:
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:2
properly, a new development; a renewal, achieved by God’s power.. Renew.
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
I John 4:4
Jehovah Magen: God my Shield
A shield for the battles in our lives. For the physical and for the battle of our minds. The evil one knows if he can infect our minds with his nasty lies-about us, about others, about life, and about God, he will steal our hope. But, when we belong to the Lord, hope is alive. Greater is HE who is in me than he who is in the world. Our hope is alive, the battle is God’s, His Shield is our help: Jehovah Magen.
Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.
Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.
Psalm 28:1
Or, as the NIV reads:
(Of David.) To you, LORD, I call; you are my Rock, do not turn a deaf ear to me. For if you remain silent, I will be like those who go down to the pit.
Psalm 28:1
Don’t be quiet!
David is pleading with God not to be silent, to wake up and hear his cry, to be his ROCK…or else he would die.
David was desperate for the Lord. He was sure he needed his Rock, his Jehovah Tsuir, to save him. I’m sure I need him, too. I cry out to the Lord, my Rock, Jehovah Tsuri; don’t be silent or I’ll surely die.
Rock
It may seem like there are better names for the God you are depending on to save you-even your very life, don’t you think?
Rock.
What is it about a rock that is indicative to saving us? What good is a rock? (This is when I should have paid better attention to when my brothers played rock-paper-scissors. I suddenly wonder- how often did the rock beat out the other two?
Refuge
Ever been to the USA midwest? Seen the Grand Canyon? There is no shortage of incredible rocks in the world-take a look around google and be amazed! (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_rock_formations_in_the_United_States).
Certainly if any of us were in danger needing refuge, any of these mammoth sized rocks would do just fine, and there’d be no need of fear of an enemy breech.
The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.
2 Samuel 2:22
Exaltation
Not only are those rocks a great place for safety, they almost touch the sky-maybe some even do! They’re majestic!
Take Half Dome in Yosemite National Park for example. It is far above others and rises more than 8000 feet above sea level. Even if by way of an underwhelming photograph (https://yosemite.org/wallpapers/half-dome-in-snow/), there are few words to grasp its enormity and exaltation).
The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.
Psalm 14:36
Jehovah Tsuri, GOD is my Rock
It is not a bad idea to try and garner some understanding for the Lord being named our rock. Of course we will come up short, very, when comparing even His own creation to Himself, The Creator.
Our Rock
Our Rock is deity. Our Rock is God. Our Rock is living, now and forever.
Our rock is salvation! No other rock in any form will ever be someone’s salvation. He alone is my rock.
Salvation
He is my salvation.
My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. He only ismy rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, andmy refuge, is in God. Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
Psalm 62:5-8
My Everything
My Rock, my all in all, my everything. Jehovah Tsuri.
