the sea

In storm & calm, God is in control

The sea, ALL OF LIFE'S TALES ARE TOLD HERE. My name, Tamara, means beautiful palm tree. The Lord knew me before I was knit together, and He gave me a name that portrays so much of my heart. I've always longed for the sea, the beach~but only if it was lined with beautiful palm trees. It's there I feel so close to God: how vast is the mind and heart of Creator God! How beautiful the work of His hands. Yet, it's the story of the sea that captivates me: in storm or calm, God is in control. Just like my life and the life of every Christian. The waves will crash, the winds blow, but the mighty hand of God is in the details. HE IS MASTER OF THE SEA.

the journey

he still calms storms, he still gives peace.

More than three decades ago I married a pastor. SMOOTH SAILING does not describe all the years of our marriage. Life has happened- BIG. But God.

In this time I have learned so much, but I think I have un-learned even more. The Lord has, is, showing me who He created me to be. He lovingly and graciously has allowed me to separate what many teach as BIBLICAL WOMANHOOD from the truth of scripture's instruction of personal responsibility, submission, virtuous living, loving and godly responses in my marriage... and all relationships.

BE ENCOURAGED, and don't lose hope. Though the journey is full of rough seas, storm surges, and loss or damage, there are PRECIOUS TREASURES to be found. And storms don't last forever; there is a peaceful calm that follows if we hang on through it all.

A Woman's Worth; Steal back your joy!

your story is not over

of one thing i am perfectly sure; god's story never ends with ashes. ~Elisabeth Elliot

For women at home

He calmed the storm to a

whisper, and the waves of the

sea were hushed.

Psalm 107:29
